Dance Umbrella is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jessica Greer as its new Festival Producer. An experienced programmer and producer, specialising in dance, Jessica joins London’s international dance festival from The Place, where she held the role of Programme Producer. At The Place she supported artists and companies to present ambitious work in live, digital, festival, site specific and participatory settings. She has previously worked for Hofesh Shechter Company and The Royal Opera House, as well as supported independent artists to make work.

On Jessica’s appointment, Artistic Director and Chief Executive Freddie Opoku-Addaie said:

“I am delighted that Jess will be joining our team as Festival Producer. She brings a deep knowledge of working with national and international artists. Championing equity for diverse artists and creating an environment that supports them to thrive not just survive is something that came across passionately from Jess. This is at the heart of my ‘widening the centre’ vision for Dance Umbrella. I can’t wait to start working with Jess.”

Jessica Greer on her new role:

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Dance Umbrella team under Freddie’s artistic vision. His commitment to widening the centre for dance by welcoming emerging artists in, as well as supporting mid-career and established artists, resonates with my values. I’m looking forward to bringing brilliant work to new audiences across the capital and beyond.”

Jessica joins Dance Umbrella in August, taking on from Senior Festival Producer Rob Jones, who will be joining Sadler’s Wells as their new Associate Artistic Director.
