Le Patin Libre
While we can’t go out to watch live performances, we thought we’d bring the art right into your home courtesy of Dance Umbrella alumni Dimitris Papaioannou and Le Patin Libre.
Olivier-nominated Greek artist Dimitris Papaioannou’s 6-hour durational piece Inside (2011) took place at Pallas Theatre in Athens. In this mesmerising work 30 performers display a series of simple movements showing our daily return home.
Originally part of Dance Umbrella 2014, relive contemporary ice skating company Le Patin Libre’s breathtaking performance of Vertical in this full length film produced by Dance Umbrella, commissioned by The Space and broadcast in January 2018 on BBC Two.
