Zoë Svendsen
Zoë Svendsen is a director, translator and researcher who has worked internationally on a range of intercultural performance and installation projects.
With her company, METIS, she recently toured 3rd Ring Out: rehearsing the future, which was the recipient of TippingPoint Commission Award. Previous directing projects include an adaptation of Brecht's short story, Four Men and a Poker Game.
Formerly of Berlin, Svendsen's stage translations include Lutz Hübner’s Respect, presented at Birmingham Rep.
She is Research Fellow in Drama and Performance at the English Faculty of the University of Cambridge, where she is working to develop practice-based research projects.
Zoë Svendsen is director and dramaturg for The Difference Engine, part of Dance Umbrella 2011.
