The Urban Playground Team To Fly Before We Fall

The vaults, spins and falls of the Urban Playground Team, whose authentic fusion of free running and streetwise dance fuels their physically exuberant way of moving. To Fly Before We Fall was commissioned for Dance Umbrella’s 2019 festival and collaboratively made with local young people taking ownership of their shared public spaces. The piece forms a trail through the streets of Croydon, guiding audience members from College Square to Fairfield Halls, illuminating that pathway with dynamic, creative, performance-parkour.
