A Brief Encounter With....Michael Popper
Unbounded / Volare (film)

Inspired by Judith Weir's beautiful composition Unlocked, Popper and cellist William Conway combine their instruments with simple, striking lighting by Peter Harrison. Unbounded is paired with the film Volare by Aubrey Fagon which features Popper’s solo work, Call, set to Busoni’s transcription of a Bach chorale.

Brief Encounters is a Dance Umbrella initiative which provides a platform for both talented new choreographers and short works by established artists. These works are performed prior to main stage shows.
