Faceless is a solo that explores themes of identity. It investigates the surface, the roles and facades people hide behind, verses their true inner-selves. The piece is split into five sections, each interlaced with film and recorded text. Niklas has been an independent choreographer for three years after five years with Wayne McGregor's company, Random. Niklas received the Bonnie Bird UK New Choreography Award in 2003.

Brief Encounters is a Dance Umbrella initiative which provides a platform for both talented new choreographers and short works by established artists. These works are performed prior to main stage shows.
