Italian-based Déjà Donné is a company whose work is strongly social and political.

My Name is King, a Dance Umbrella commission, originates from a desire to separate the human spirit from the material world.

Using only found/re-cycled materials, the creative team present a backdrop against which performers can explore what is valued, wasted and re-used both physically and emotionally.

30 children from a local primary school will be involved in a series of workshops around recycling and related issues. For the lucky participants the result of these activities will be the opportunity to perform alongside the artists from Déjà Donné.

The Déjà Donné schools workshop is produced in association with The Place Learning and Access.
