The prospect of Stephen Petronio’s force of nature meeting the poetic surge of singer and songwriter Rufus Wainwright is a mouthwatering one.

Bud Suite, an extension of the 2005 hit bud, is partnered with four existing recordings by Rufus Wainwright and acts as a prelude to Petronio’s newest work, BLOOM.

Set to a specially commissioned Wainwright score that includes the poetry of Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson, BLOOM is supplemented by the voices of a local children’s choir who sing live.

Also on the programme is Lareigne (1995) featuring Petronio's signature whiplash movement, fierce structure and sensual force.
