The closing event of the 2006 festival: a celebration of Val Bourne's twenty eight years at Dance Umbrella and the start of a new chapter under the direction of Betsy Gregory.

Martha @ the Wells is hosted by Richard Move, whose inimitable re-incarnation as Martha Graham, innovator and choreographer extraordinaire, is both wickedly funny and infinitely touching.

A hit at previous festivals, this is the first time Martha has compered an event at Sadler’s Wells. The line-up includes some of the artists most closely associated with Dance Umbrella: Richard Alston Dance Company, Kim Bandstrup, Michael Clark, Aletta Collins, Mark Morris Dance Group and Zenaida Yanowsky. This promises to be an unforgettable evening. Don’t miss it.
