Mark Morris Dance Group (USA)
Romeo & Juliet, On Motifs Of Shakespeare

Wed 5 – Sat 8 November, 7.45pm
Sat 8 November, 2.30pm
Barbican Theatre

Mark Morris returns to the Barbican with a new production of Romeo and Juliet set to the original version of Sergey Prokofiev's score, performed live by the London Symphony Orchestra.

With a radically different ending to that of today's well-known version, the score has never before been performed as the composer originally intended. This work, an exciting collaboration between Mark Morris, the London Symphony Orchestra and conductor Stefan Asbury, marks a truly historic moment in dance and music.

EUROPEAN PREMIERE

'Mark Morris is the cleverest, most inventive choreographer working in dance today.'
