This
ground breaking initiative, launched last year, continues its investigations
into the (r)evolutions of dance and digital technologies.
Are
interactive systems fully developed or are we still at a response stage? What
is the effect on the audience or viewer? What are the creative possibilities
for the users of the future and how may this affect creative control?
This
round table discussion will examine issues surrounding the use of interactive
and response systems. Moderated by Ghislaine Boddington (shinkansen / ResCen)
the international panel will include Gretchen Schiller (choreographer, video
artist), Susan Kozel (dancer, choreographer, writer) and Robb Lovell (dancer,
software developer) from the Trajets installation, Scott de la Hunta (researcher,
writer), Shobana Jeyasingh (choreographer) and Jo Hyde (digital artist) from
the recent Software for Dancers project, hosted at Sadlers Wells, plus
Frederic Flamand (choreographer, artistic director Charleroi Danses / Plan K)
and Kirk Woolford (media designer), who collaborated on Moving Target.
